The company is required to make sure that the product does not fall under the list of banned products. UAE’s norms for dealing with trading of banned products are very strict and can impose high penalty fees. Dubai Customs is one of the most popular custom department in the UAE for importing or exporting the goods all around the world.
How to apply for new Dubai custom code?
To register your company with Dubai Customs and obtain new custom code, kindly follow the below steps:
- Visit www.dubaitrade.ae
- Click on Service Centre
- Click on Dubai Custom
- Click on Request Business Registration
- Click on New
- Fill in the mandatory fields, upload the required documents then submit for approval.

List of required documents/information for obtaining Custom Code
- Valid trade license copy
- Passport, Emirates ID and Visa copy of authorized person,
- Chamber of Commerce certificate copy,
- An undertaking letter,
- Valid mobile number and
- Email ID.

Cost for new Dubai custom code
The cost for registration of new Dubai custom code shall be AED 120/-.
Dubai Custom Code renewal
Dubai custom code renewal is required every year. The application for renewal of custom code can be done through the Dubai Trade online portal by submitting a valid trade license of the company. The cost for Dubai custom code renewal shall be AED 25/-.
Dubai custom code will be suspended, if Dubai custom code renewal is not done within 60 days from its expiry date.
